Now in it's second year; the Society deals primarily in paranormal research and investigation. This includes, but isn't strictly limited to; the collection and analysis of video, photographic and audio evidence pertaining to hauntings, spirits, ghosts, specters and any similar unexplainable phenomena.

The Silver Society believes there is a distinct difference between Ghost Hunting and Paranormal Investigation as a fringe science. With a community that is rife with competition, cynicism and amateurism the Society hopes to lend professionalism and skeptical open-mindedness to an investigative field that could otherwise be seen to earn its' unsavory reputation. There are no professionally recognized qualifications pertaining to Paranormal Investigation though various institutions around the world teach Parapsychology as part of or sibling to a higher-education qualification in Psychology.  It is our personal recommendation that one should have basic awareness of the main principles of Philosophy and Psychology.  Knowledge or experience within Religious Studies are wholly beneficial. An awareness of self, the human psyche and the way faith / belief can alter perception is paramount to those seeking to better understand the origin of paranormal phenomena.
